INDIAN OCEAN (Oct. 2, 2008) The Military Sealift Command combat stores ship USNS San Jose (T-AFS 7) conducts a vertical replenishment with the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Antonio (LPD 17) and the guided-missile cruiser USS Vella Gulf (CG 72). San Antonio and Vella Gulf are deployed as part of the Iwo Jima Expeditionary Strike Group supporting maritime security operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
